Journey of a Woman at Barnes and Noble

Let's Build Fires

Let’s build fires here

In the center

Of our hearts

Let’s radiate warmth

That will rise up

To encompass the Earth

Take this seaward gaze

This rising wave

And come closer

To the source

Open tonight

What once was closed

The door to my heart

Bring no questions

To this gathering

Bring the emptiness

That will bring light in

Be closer

In this morning sun

And burn

And in this burning

Be bright

So all will see

Even those in the darkness

Of the night

I Awoke

Quiet leaves rustle

In the silence of yesterday

Undecided

Doubt clouds my mind

Bringing my feet to the Earth

I uproot myself from you

Though I do not

Travel far

I only search

For my light

Amidst this chaos

The unraveling of ego

Bringing a peace within

I woke up to this:

Waking as if from a sleep

Gather the People

Gather the people

In the presence

Of the holy site

Of oneness

It is here

Where we will

Join hearts

Remembering

The preciousness

Of our being

The light of our soul

Bask in this place

Where we unite

With our own

Soul’s grace

Higher Ground

The journey

Through time

An endless road

I found my

Higher ground

The victory

Of the ages

The triumphant sound

Of

Angels singing

Endless Beauty

Endless Beauty

Dream

Into being

Happiness

Of a garden

Planted with seeds

Of joy

Growing into

Full blooms

Of peaceful contentment

Blossoming

Into light

Filled of

Endless beauty

The Arrow’s Journey

We wear no mask

Upon our face

We walk around

Made of glass

Easily shattered

Wounded or broken

We aim our arrow

Straight for our target:

Happiness

What gets in the way?

The loss of innocence

A tree

Our own hands

We Began

We Began

Many tides
Rolling into my heart
Fingers like bows
Take their aim
Sharp as the sky
On a cold winter's day
I will give you
All the sunrise
Has to offer
Blue skies
Calling me again
Lift the heaviness
From your hands
With a sweet smile
Tell time
It has no reason
To worry
We began
With always written
Across destiny

Joy's Birth

I dreamt

I gave birth

To joy

And I fed her

As she grew

Into her fullness

Her smile

Opened hearts

Her presence

Inspired a world

That had forgotten

She existed

She taught many

As she aged

Showing them

That beauty

And love

Peace and happiness

Did not need to be searched for

Or bought

But lived in their own hearts

Where they touched

God’s grace

Lonely Highway

Left in the dust

Tail lights

Being all

I can see

On a lonely highway

Bewildered by

The blow of all

I forgot to acknowledge

Or just chose to ignore

Still

My shoes seem heavy

Unable to carry my feet

From this place

Where my heart

Was stolen

Maybe it’s the heat

Of this unrelenting

Desert sun

That created

The mirage

That keeps

Me thinking

You will turn

The car around

And see me

Still standing here

Where you left me

As Timeless As Creation

As Timeless As Creation

Bring joy
To this table
My worn out heart
Tired from
Disappointments
Bad choices
Wrong turns
Accepts
This face
As its own

Bring love
To this room
Mending
What was broken by time
Reconciling false beliefs
With the magic
Of its touch
The softness of its reach

Bring laughter
To this home
Uplifting views
Of serious disdain
Releasing illusions
Inviting life in though
Doors that were closed
By harsher lessons of life

Bring light
In its purest form
The dance of the soul
The flight of the heart
An embrace

As timeless as creation
